中国与南亚东南亚地缘相近、人缘相亲、商缘相通、文缘相融，彼此之间文明交流互鉴绵延千年从未中断。其中，人文交流扮演了积极重要的角色。密切、深入、丰富的人文交流对于促进民心相通，增进教育交流合作，具有重要的意义。

近年来，云南省教育厅以习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，深入贯彻落实中央、省委省政府关于做好新时期教育对外开放工作的实施意见精神，以对外开放为先导，以改革创新为动力，以人才培养为核心，充分发挥云南独特的区位和人文优势，突出体现亲诚惠容的周边外交理念，以“互利合作、共同发展”为基础，建立人文交流机制，开展人文交流活动，推进云南省国际教育交流合作，推动各高校与周边国家高校搭平台、建机制、促合作，“面向南亚东南亚辐射中心”建设取得许多令人振奋的成效。

云南艺术学院是我省一所特色鲜明、优势明显、艺术门类齐全的综合性高等艺术院校，近年来，学校坚持“继承传统、学习民间、兼容中外、服务社会”的办学理念，深入推进内涵建设和特色发展，取得了可喜成绩，办学影响力与日俱增。本次展览是第4届南亚东南亚教育合作昆明论坛的一部分，希望充分发挥云南的地缘及艺术人文资源优势、云南艺术学院的专业及教育资源优势，通过艺术展览与交流的方式，丰富与南亚东南亚各国民众的人文往来，夯实构建中国—南亚东南亚命运共同体的人文基础。

国之交在于民相亲，民相亲在于心相通。希望在新的时代背景下，我省的艺术人文创作、展览、交流水平不断提升，通过不同文明交流互鉴，讲好中国故事，传播好中国声音，展示真实、立体、全面的中国，为中国走向世界、世界读懂中国作出新的更大的贡献。

China is close to South and Southeast Asia,the exchanges and mutual learning have been lasting for thousands of years in such fields as civilizations, humanity, business and culture. The cultural and people-to-people exchanges play a positive and important role. Close, in-depth and rich cultural andinternational communications greatly facilitate people's friendship,educational exchanges and cooperation.

In recent years, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Yunnan Provincial Department of Education thoroughly implemented the spirit of the CPC Central Committee, the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Yunnan Province on the work of international education exchange and cooperation. Taking opening-up as the forerunner, reforming and innovating as the driving force and talent training as the core, the Provincial Department of Education fully leveraged Yunnan's unique location and humanistic advantages and prominently demonstrated the neighborhood diplomacy featuring amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness. Based on "mutually beneficial cooperation and common development", the Provincial Department of Education has established a mechanism for cultural and people-to-people exchanges, carried out related activities, advanced international education exchanges in Yunnan Province, and promoted cooperation between universities in the province with their counterparts in neighboring countries to jointly build platforms, establish mechanisms and seek more cooperation opportunities. Besides, quite a few inspiring results in the construction of the "Radiation Center for South Asia and Southeast Asia" have been achieved.

Yunnan Arts University is a comprehensive art university of higher education in Yunnan, with distinctive features, obvious advantages and a full range of art disciplines. In recent years, the university has adhered to the philosophy of "inheriting tradition, learning from folk experience, integrating Chinese and foreign education modes, and serving the society", deeply advanced the connotation construction and characteristic development, and thus made promising achievements, with the influence of school running increasing day by day. As part of the 4thKunming Forum on Education Cooperation inSouth & Southeast Asia, this Invitational Exhibition aims to fully leverage Yunnan's superiority in geological, artistic and humanistic resources as well as the advantages of professional and educational resources of Yunnan Arts University. Through artistic exhibition and exchanges, the exhibition is expected to enrich the exchanges with the people of South and Southeast Asia and solidify the humanistic foundation for building a community with a shared future for China, South Asia and Southeast Asia.

Friendship, which derives from close contact between the people, holds the key to sound state-to-state relations. In the new era, we hope that Yunnan can make continuous progress in artistic and cultural creation, exhibitions and exchanges. Through exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations, the province is expected to tellgood Chinese stories and makeChinese voice heard in a bid to present a true, multi-dimensional and panoramic view of China and make new and greater contributions to "let China enter the world and let the world know China".
